Stephanandra incisa ‘Crispa’ is a deciduous shrub native to Japan and Korea. It has arching, slender brown stems, bright green crinkled leaves and crowded panicles of star-shaped white summer flowers. The foliage develops orange and yellow shades in autumn.
Unfussy, it tolerates a range of aspects and soil types, and is well suited to using as ground cover around the base of trees.
