Parthenocissus Quinquefolia (Virginia Creeper)
Parthenocissus quinquefolia is a handsome, deciduous self-clinging climber that has a spectacular autumn colour is easy to grow and very vigorous so will need a lot of space. A north or east facing large wall would be perfect to show off its outstanding autumn fiery colours and modest crop of blue-black berries. The Virginia creeper is perfect to cover up any sized eyesore or old building with a large area. It is also fairly salt tolerant also so will do well in coastal regions.
Parthenocissus Tricuspidata Veitchii (Boston Ivy)
Popular fast growing self-clinging vine with large, green lobed leaves which turn a brilliant orange-red in the autumn. Valued for quick cover of brick, stone walls, and fences. Can grow to 30' or more. Grows in almost all light conditions.
